Crazy as it gets ... out in the wilderness of the hillstation, Ootty was at its blissful best ! This was taken during the MAD Festival, amidst the bouncy flowers who were singing along that day. Jayesh Mohan is one shutterbug who is pretty difficult to impress :p .. but after a lot of pestering.. I had my way.. and ola ola.. here we go !!

Hindustani Classical Concert - Soorya Festival , 2011

Its a pleasure and honour to be a part of World's biggest Cultural Festival, the Soorya Festival. I was lucky enough to debut last year and perform this year, too, a Hindustani concert in the Jalsa Ghar, a tribute to filmmaker Satyajit Ray . Accompanying me on the tabla is Retnasree and on the Harmonium is Husein Ali. It was helf on the 18th of November ,2011 .Photo courtesy : Rakesh Konni

Vidwan, the band, had a positive comeback with the gig at CUSAT, Cochin. I am referring to this as a comeback as this was the gig where we introduced our new singer Anoop Mohandas. With the initial response being great, being evident with mounting applause, the gig was discontinued half way because of the rains who was a big spoil sport that day. Thanks to Jayesh Mohan, an upcoming freelance photographer, we've got some great pics to share ..
